On 2-3rd March 2018 we took part in Casey Relay For Life, at Akoonah Park in Berwick and for the first year we had our own team “Red Gem’s”.
At the end of the event we had 76 teams registered with over 2700 participants walking the track, raising much needed funds for cancer research.
They announced at the end of the event we had raised over $304,000 and with 4 more weeks to bank we hope to hit our goal of $400,000.
The Casey relay event is in its 15th year, and we have now raised over $4m!!!
Our team has been granted a research award, and that means we get to decide where that money goes to, and we have chosen Forgotten Cancers as this is one very close to our hearts.
